Manuel E. Sosa
Manuel E. Sosa is assistant professor of the technology and operations management area at INSEAD. He received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Universidad Simón Bolívar (Caracas, Venezuela) and his S.M. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Professor Sosa’s research efforts are applied to improving product development systems. He is particularly interested in studying coordination and innovation networks in complex product and software development organizations. His research has been published in various journals including Management Science, Journal of Mechanical Design, Research in Engineering Design, and Harvard Business Review.
Professor Sosa teaches in the MBA, PhD, and Executive programs covering topics related to innovation and operations management. His teaching achievements include the development of a program with the Art Center College of Design (Pasadena, California) to integrate business and design disciplines for successful product development.
His work experience includes systems engineering in the petrochemical industry, and development and deployment of computer-aided engineering software applications.

Andrew Shipilov

Strategy at INSEAD. He is an expert in the areas of strategic alliances, inter-firm collaboration and social networks. His work is published at the Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Organization, Industrial and Corporate Change, Managerial and Decision Economics as well as in other journals and edited books. At INSEAD, Prof. Shipilov teaches MBA and executive courses on Competitive Strategy, Strategic Alliances and Blue Ocean Strategy. Prior to joining INSEAD, Prof. Shipilov has taught International Business at undergraduate, graduate and executive levels at the University of Toronto, Joseph L. Rotman School of Management. Professor Shipilov has been a director of Business Kolding-INSEAD Executive Management Programme from its beginning.

Gianpiero Petriglieri
Gianpiero Petriglieri is Affiliate Professor of Organisational Behaviour at INSEAD, and current Faculty Chair of the INSEAD Leadership Initiative.
His areas of interest include leadership, team dynamics, experiential learning, and unconscious processes in individuals, groups and organisations. His research explores the features which make leadership development effective and meaningful; managers’ use of business school courses to shape personal and professional identities; the influence of unconscious factors in leadership; and the emotional dilemmas of high potential managers.
At INSEAD, Professor Petriglieri teaches "Leading People and Groups" in the MBA, directs customised leadership development programmes for executives from a variety of industries, and teaches in executive programs such as The Leadership Transition and Consulting and Coaching for Change. He also consults to a range of international organisations on the design and implementation of programmes for developing high potentials into effective and responsible leaders. Prior to joining INSEAD, he was Visiting Professor at Copenhagen Business School, where he received the MBA Professor of the Year award, and contributed regularly to executive education programmes, and to the MBA, at IMD International in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Professor Petriglieri received a Medical Doctorate and a specialization in Psychiatry from the University of Catania Medical School, Italy, and a diploma in Advanced Organisational Consultation from the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London. He has practiced as a psychotherapist and often serves on the staff of group relations conferences in Europe and the United States. He is currently President of the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) and a member of the A.K. Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems, and of the NTL Institute for Applied Behavioural Sciences. |
