Business Kolding is the business organisation for Kolding Erhvervsråd (business council), Handelsråd (trade council) and the Turistforening (tourist association); and works to develop business, trade and tourism in the whole of Kolding Kommune (Kolding Local Authority). The organisation was established in 1992 under the name Kolding Erhvervsudvikling (Kolding business development) and changed its name to Business Kolding in 2006.
Business Kolding serves as the primary link between Kolding Kommune and the business companies in Kolding and is a collaboration between Kolding Erhvervsråd, Kolding Handelsråd and Kolding Turistforening. The collaboration created ensures the best possible framework for development in the region; and strengthens relations between sectors, where revenue is created. The merger of the three organisations was the first of its kind and is today used nationwide.
Business Kolding represents and assists in a wide range of development tasks within business, trade and tourism respectively – all with a view to fulfilling the vision of Kolding becoming Denmark’s number one centre of growth.
At the same time Business Kolding carries out a number of business tasks in the form of consultancy, training and any other support for the region’s commercial enterprises. In addition Business Kolding has several other operational assignments, which are a natural extension of the organisation’s vision: Kolding becoming Denmark’s number one centre of growth. For example:

- Network for businesses
- Courses, training and inspiring events for both managers and employees
- Marketing of vacant positions abroad

Business Kolding has 27 employees, and the board of directors comprises of three politicians and five businesspeople. Business Kolding is financed by Kolding Kommune, membership fees and its own business revenues.
